Organic Wine Tasting on Vesuvius

During this Half-day tour, you will be picked up from the Port of Naples and transported to Cantina del Vesuvio Russo Family Winery and Vineyards. Upon arrival and a warm Italian family welcome, you will enjoy a guided walk of the vineyards and the cellar on this family-owned winery established in 1948.

Learn how the unique volcanic terroir, or landscape, influences the taste of the wines as well as the art and science of organic wine production. Afterward, you will take a seat and participate in Superior Organic Lacryma Cristi Wine tasting, followed by a delicious typical Italian lunch of local specialties amid beautiful views of the sea, Sorrento peninsula, and Capri Island.

Start your culinary experience with salami, provolone cheese, Casatiello (savory bread) and bruschetta with heirloom tomatoes, olives, and roasted aubergines. Next, you will feast on spaghetti made from durum wheat flour and tossed with heirloom tomatoes and basil. Complete your meal with pastiera Napoletana, a traditional dessert of sweetened ricotta, candied fruit, and boiled wheat berries. Of course, each course of your meal is perfectly paired with a delicious Russo family wine!
